Kennedys reappointed to NHS Resolution panel

We are delighted to announce we have been reappointed by NHS Resolution to provide health-related legal services for the next three years.

We have acted for NHS Resolution – formerly the NHS Litigation Authority – since 1997.

The panel, which is made up of 10 firms, provides expert legal support to NHS Resolution in relation to primary or secondary care claims. Kennedys has been appointed to manage NHS clinical claims involving patients and non-clinical claims involving employers’ or public liability, property, Human Rights Act and Data Protection Act claims.

Christopher Malla, global head of healthcare at Kennedys, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed to NHS Resolution's clinical and non-clinical legal panel, effective from 1 March 2022 for a period of three years.

We look forward to continuing to work together to deliver timely and proactive resolution of claims.

“This follows a rigorous and competitive tender process to ensure that, in line with NHS Resolution’s strategic aims, the firms appointed were best placed to deliver a high-quality service and value for money.

“We look forward to continuing to work together to deliver timely and proactive resolution of claims.”

Nick Thomas, Kennedys’ Senior Partner, added: “I am proud to say that our healthcare division has acted for NHS Resolution, formerly the NHS Litigation Authority, for a quarter of a century now.

“Christopher and our excellent healthcare team have an in-depth knowledge of the sector which will enable them to continue delivering the same first-class service.”
