Richard Bates, Managing Partner of Kennedys in Hong Kong comments: “Wilson’s arrival enhances the depth and expertise of our Hong Kong Commercial Disputes and Regulatory Team. His extensive knowledge in financial services regulatory disputes, and banking and enforcement litigation will be a tremendous asset to our clients in the region.”
Matt Andrews, Asia Pacific Managing Partner at Kennedys adds: “Expanding our Asia corporate and commercial ranks with the strategic hire of a partner of Wilson’s calibre and specialist banking experience, is another exciting development for our firm in APAC. Our Hong Kong office was established 25 years ago this year as Kennedys’ first international office, and it is pleasing to see its continued growth as a regional hub for commercial advisory.”
Commenting on his appointment, Wilson Fung says: “I am excited to be joining a firm with such a strong reputation in the regional corporate and regulatory legal market. I look forward to working with my colleagues to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients, and to enhancing our capability in financial services regulation and banking litigation.”
Wilson’s arrival takes Kennedys’ total number of partners in Asia Pacific to 48 across 8 offices. It follows the recent hire of commercial litigation and international arbitration specialist Kevin Tan as a Director of Legal Solutions LLC, Kennedys’ joint venture law firm in Singapore.
