Kennedys has once again been recognised as a leading law firm in Hong Kong across insurance, cyber and data privacy, and dispute resolution following the release of the latest The Legal 500 Asia Pacific Hong Kong rankings.
We have retained our Tier 1 ranking for Insurance, with clients commenting “the team is very thorough and responsive” and “one of the largest financial lines claims/insurance teams in Hong Kong.” Our Cyber & Data Privacy team maintained their Tier 2 position, with clients noting that Kennedys is able to adopt “a regional view when it comes to data protection and cyber security which is useful for organisations with a regional footprint.” While we also held our Tier 4 ranking for Dispute Resolution/Litigation, with client feedback including “I would like to highlight the approachability and responsiveness of Kennedys' litigation team as compared to other law firms. They have been quick to respond to my queries with professionalism.”
In addition to retaining our top tier rankings from last year, Richard Bates and Joanie Ko were again listed as ‘Leading Partners’ for Insurance, and Wilson Tam and Joanie Ko as ‘Next Generation Partners’ for Insurance and Data Protection & Cyber Security respectively. In total, nine Kennedys lawyers were recommended in the editorial, including newly mentioned partners Bertha Ng and Meiling Yip.
