Through our partnership with environmental consultancy Bright Tide, we are excited to announce the release of the impact report detailing the achievements of the Regenerative Agriculture Accelerator Programme.
Over the course of the eight-week programme, Bright Tide collaborated with 20 ventures committed to transforming sustainable agriculture (land) and aquaculture (sea) practices, together with developing innovative solutions to address climate change, biodiversity loss and food security. By focusing on the interconnectedness of land and ocean ecosystems, the programme offered the ventures holistic support that included expert-led workshops, mentorship, and access to industry leaders. As a founding partner, Kennedys played a key role in supporting the programme, helping the ventures navigate risk management and insurance challenges while providing technical and advisory legal support to the cohort to help build and develop each businesses’ impact.
Key Events and Collaborative Milestones
The programme featured several high-profile events designed to foster collaboration and highlight the ventures' progress. It began with a Launch Event at Hogan Lovells in London, where Rt Hon Kerry McCarthy MP, the Climate Minister, delivered a keynote on the future of sustainable agriculture. The event featured discussions from ventures including Chirrup AI, Tierra Foods, and Seawater Solutions, each of which demonstrated innovative approaches to regenerative practices.
Following this, a Parliamentary Reception Event was held at the UK House of Commons in collaboration with Bankers for Net Zero. This gathering brought together over 130 participants from the private and public sectors, with notable speakers such as Rt Hon Mark Spencer MP and Vincent Doumeizel, author of The Seaweed Revolution. The event emphasised the critical role of regenerative farming in addressing global environmental crises and the potential of ocean-based solutions like seaweed cultivation.
The programme concluded with a Venture Showcase Event at Barclays in Canary Wharf, where ventures pitched their groundbreaking solutions to an audience of investors, corporate leaders, and policy makers. The keynote speaker, Andy Cato, founder of Wildfarmed, shared his journey into regenerative farming, inspiring further collaboration among participants.
Impact and Programme Outcomes
The Regenerative Farming Accelerator Programme has proven to be a powerful catalyst for innovation. Throughout the eight weeks, participating ventures received over 40 hours of technical and advisory support. Workshops covered vital topics such as finance, risk management, supply chains, biodiversity, and storytelling.
The newly released Impact Report underscores the programme's wide-reaching influence, highlighting key partnerships, venture growth, and contributions to global sustainability goals. The report illustrates how the programme helped advance efforts in critical areas like soil health, carbon sequestration, and marine biodiversity conservation. Ventures such as Chirrup AI, Ficosterra, and New Foundation Farms showcased the potential of regenerative agriculture to reshape industries.
Harry Wright, Founder and CEO of Bright Tide, reflects on the programme's success: "We are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved through this accelerator. The impact report highlights not only the individual successes of the ventures but also the broader movement toward sustainable food systems on both land and sea. This is just the beginning of what we hope to achieve."
