My favorite email is always from our receptionist, Melissa Perez. Every day its always “National something day” so I enjoy reading her paragraph on how we can incorporate it into our lives for that day.

Morning

My watch buzzes at 5.30am and I am up to pack lunch for my oldest daughter for school, have my morning coffee and mentally prepare for what is ahead today. By 7:35am. I drop off my son at preschool and rush to the train station.

9:00

As I arrive in the office, I log in, check emails and start my priority work list. My favorite email is always from our receptionist, Melissa Perez. Every day its always “National something day” so I enjoy reading her paragraph on how we can incorporate it into our lives for that day. I take a walk downstairs to say good morning to my co-workers.

11:00

I check the Support system, which includes my pending work or any other pending work from attorneys who need assistance. I review the instructions and reply or email an attorney that I am starting on the task at hand, once complete I send for review.

Lunch

I prepared lunch before I left the house this morning and head down to the “lunch” area where I meet up with my co-workers and we always have the best conversations and laugh. It really is one of the best parts of my days at the office.

15:00

After lunch, I send documents I have been drafting onto  the attorneys for review before finalizing. I work on any documents that must go out the same day, so I dedicate time to reviewing it before I send to facilities for mailing. Court filings are almost all electronic, so I prepare any exhibits, converting word documents to PDFs in order to properly file in the court systems.

16:50

As I prepare for my work day to end, I follow up with my oldest daughter to make sure she arrived home safely. Check the Support System for any pending work that will be completed the following day. I begin my commute home.

Evening

As I enter my home by 6:10, I have a great welcome committee! My husband gives me a hug and my 3 children all want my attention to tell me about their day, well, except the baby who just wants me to hold her. My husband usually starts dinner so I can only hope that it’s ready!
