Q&A

What do you enjoy about working for a global law firm?

The firm has a very modern outlook with people at the heart of what we do. There are opportunities to work in other offices either in the short or long term.  I like being able to see how colleagues deal with matters in other jurisdictions which brings a fresh perspective and means that Kennedys does not stand still. There is a genuine commitment to corporate social responsibility. I use my CSR hours to provide reading support to primary school children.

What type of cases do you work on?

I work on a broad range of clinical negligence claims acting for Defendants in pre-dominantly high value cases involving neurological or life changing injuries in adults and children. I have a special interest in cases involving general practice, having previously worked in-house at a medical defence organisation.

What is interesting about working in the Healthcare team?

No day or case is the same. The team works on the most high profile and sensitive healthcare cases in the UK and globally with an impressive client list and challenging cases. There is a genuine team ethos with colleagues sharing knowledge and willing to assist others. As a lawyer you are encouraged to develop your own niche or specialism and the Healthcare Partners are very supportive in terms of career development.

How would you describe working in the Healthcare team in 3 words?

Collegiate, innovative, stimulating
