Penny is a partner of Kennedys in Sydney with over 15 years’ experience in insurance law and dispute resolution. Penny specialises in financial lines insurance, in particular professional indemnity, Directors & Officers and management liability insurance, advising on complex coverage disputes, acting as defence counsel and advising on product development for domestic and London market insurers.
Penny has acted in high profile director and officers disputes including class actions, ASIC prosecutions, liquidators’ proceedings and special commissions of inquiry. She has considerable experience in multi-party litigation in Supreme and Federal Court jurisdictions predominately in the construction and engineering and financial services sectors.
As an experienced litigator Penny has a complementary practice representing a number of
construction and engineering firms on a range of commercial disputes.
Penny is the staff partner of our Sydney office and manages the firm’s pro bono practice.
She is also National Secretary and Vice-President of the Australian Professional Indemnity Group.
