Bradley Pace is Special Counsel in the San Francisco office. He has extensive experience handling admiralty and maritime litigation, as well as aviation litigation, and is involved in all aspects of the process from intake to resolution. Brad's background in the maritime industry as a ship captain, officer, engineer, and pilot, enables him to deeply understand the issues his clients face and provide them with solutions tailored to their situations. He has worked on cases concerning virtually all aspects of maritime law including-vessel collisions and allisions, Jones Act claims, seaman and captain's duties, limitation of liability, vessel arrests and attachments, Carriage of Goods by Sea Act claims, Carmack Amendment claims, pilotage, marine contracts, ship building and ship repair, construction defect,  marine salvage claims and rights, treasure salvage, Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act claims, and navigable waterway rights. He also advises clients in a wide range of insurance matters, including marine insurance and reinsurance, and insurance coverage.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Brad was an Assistant District Attorney for the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. During his tenure, his daily court appearances and frequent jury trials allowed him to further his litigation experience. During law school, Brad served as a legal intern with the US Department of Transportation Maritime Administration's Office of the Chief Counsel, in Washington, DC. During his undergraduate studies, Brad was an intern to US Representative Pete Sessions in Washington DC.

Brad is involved with several professional maritime associations, including the Maritime Law Association of the United States and the Pacific Admiralty Seminar Committee.

Brad holds a US Coast Guard Professional Mariner Master's License, with multiple endorsements. He also holds a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane Pilot's License, with Seaplane, Complex, and High Power ratings. Brad is also fluent in Spanish.
