World Mental Health Day 2022
This event has now taken place, but please complete our form if you would like to be sent a copy of the recording.
To acknowledge this year’s World Mental Health day on Monday 10 October, we are delighted to be hosting a hybrid seminar where we will shine a spotlight on this important issue.
The COVID-19 pandemic saw us share an experience that pushed our resilience levels beyond what many of us thought was possible. In 2019 it was estimated that one in eight people suffered with mental health challenges and that figure increased sharply over the following two years. It’s likely that we all have people in our lives living with challenges whether or not they are visible to us.
Now, there is more focus than ever on the fragility of our mental health and importance of looking after it. Businesses have increased their resources and support and we see a big part of that support as opening up more story-telling, conversations and shared experiences. Our global managing partner, Suzanne Liversidge, will chair this year’s event and she’ll be joined by guest speaker Petra Velzeboer who will share her gripping and unique life story as well as views on why mental health needs to be a global priority.
At Kennedys, we believe in adding value beyond the law. This event is an opportunity for people with mental health conditions, advocates, people managers and employees to come together to remove the stigma and recognise the importance of mental health and well-being.
