Fraud webinar - what can we learn from insurance history?
This webinar has now taken place, but please complete our form if you would like to be sent a copy of the recording.
Over the last year we have covered the core components of your fraud response from detect to deter. Fraud continues to be a key strategic priority for claims departments and, with an established claims culture, is a modern-day scourge. But has it not always been with us?
Alan Greenspan famously said: “Corruption, embezzlement, fraud, these are all characteristics which exist everywhere. It is regrettably the way human nature functions, whether we like it or not. What successful economies do is keep it to a minimum. No one has ever eliminated any of that stuff.”
If Greenspan is right, what can we learn from insurance history?
In this month’s webinar we are joined by special guest Paul Miller, History Ambassador for the Insurance Museum, as we take a look at the history of insurance fraud and consider whether the problems of today are simply a reflection of the problems that insurance has been contending with forever.
