COVID-19 and the impact on fraudulent claims
In the latest in our webinar series, Kennedys’ fraud specialists look at the impact of COVID-19 on the claims environment, both now and in the future.
Many commentators share the view that there is an increased risk of fraud with changes to working practices and claims processes, new and evolving areas of risk management and an expected economic recession, which history informs us leads to fraud increasing.
In our recent post to the Fundamentally Honest blog, COVID-19 claims farming, risk level: high, we looked at the emergence of COVID-19 related CMCs, public awareness and interest in COVID-19 compensation related internet search terms and how our Kennedys IQ technology product, Portal Manager, is tracking Coronavirus references in claims data. The early signs appear like a darkened fraud cloud on the horizon.
Our webinar will look at the following questions:
- What fraud risks arise in the immediate response to managing claims and litigation mid-pandemic?
- As we look ahead, what are the potential fraud risks awaiting us?
