Technology and transport - is the law keeping pace?
We are delighted to be hosting a seminar where we will examine some of the proposals for the use of E-CMR waybills and the implications these might have for the freight industry and the insurance industry supporting it.
We shall also review the use of e-bills of lading and review how these have worked in practice. Can any lessons be learned from the ocean experience?
The presentation will also look at recent advances in the use of autonomous vessels and autonomous vehicles. What are the benefits of such automation and what are the potential pitfalls?
Additionally we will consider whether the international conventions have kept pace and whether market contracts (including some insurance clauses) are fit for purpose in a cyber-age.
We hope you are able to join us and look forward to seeing you there.
