Hong Kong aviation seminar

29/08/2019 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM HKT

Extensive media coverage relating to two recent major aviation accidents involving the relatively new 737 MAX and the worldwide grounding of the aircraft series, at substantial cost and inconvenience to operators, brought to the forefront interesting and complex questions of product liability exposures. Separately, on 15 July 2019 AIN published details of an alert customer bulletin issued by Gulfstream which caught the business jet community by surprise. This relates to identified issues with Rolls Royce BR725 engines, that effectively grounds a large part of the G650 fleet worldwide until compliance with the engine manufacturer’s service bulletin.

With these in mind, we will be hosting an afternoon seminar with drinks afterwards on Thursday 29 August 2019 where we will outline the basic principles of product liability and discuss what potential theories of liability the manufacturers could face from parties who have suffered loss from these events.

As seats are limited, registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis. To register your interest in attending this event please contact Sara Lee

CPD is being applied for and will be accredited by The Law Society of Hong Kong.
