Claims Apprentice 2019: Episode 4 – talent recruitment

The fourth episode of the new six-part video series, Claims Apprentice, in association with Insurance Post, first aired last Thursday and is available to view below.

In this latest episode the two teams are asked to devise a marketing campaign, aimed at encouraging school leavers to consider a career in insurance, that includes the use of social media and a poster/advert. Team Discovery and Team Fortitudo will be looking to impress HR Director Caroline Wilson and partner Suzanne Liversidge when presenting their campaigns and explaining the thinking behind them.

What … is the most important thing that (16-18 year olds) want to hear about? What’s going to change their mind to come and work in the insurance industry?

Caroline Wilson, HR Director

Alongside Kennedys’ Senior Partner, Nick Thomas, who will ultimately be deciding on the winner, is a trusted team of advisers aiding him in reaching a decision. In addition to Caroline and Suzanne they are partner Richard West, Head of Research and Development Karim Derrick, Head of Corporate and Public Affairs Deborah Newberry and, from Lloyd’s, Global Diversity and Inclusion Manager Marc Reace-Coles.

Each episode showcases the ‘apprentices’ completing tasks related to the challenges the claims market currently faces, and is designed to help them in their future careers. In their penultimate challenge, to be aired next week, the focus will be on technology and innovation. The two teams will be asked to create an app, utilising our KLAiM platform, to help support claims staff by addressing a workflow issue that they face on a day-to-day basis, which will then be presented to Richard and Karim in our London office.
