- Representing a firm of accountants in connection with a claim for over £8M arising out of the demerger of a company.
- Acting for solicitors to defend a claim for over £10M arising out of the sale of a business and subsequent litigation between buyers and sellers for alleged breach of warranty and misrepresentation claims.
- Acting for a firm of accountants to defend claims arising out of a tax avoidance scheme.
Danielle is a Senior Associate. She is based in our Birmingham office but increasingly spends time working out of our Taunton and Bristol offices. Danielle joined Kennedys in 2012 having previously gained experience as a Commercial Disputes Resolution solicitor.
Danielle’s insurance practice encompasses professional indemnity and director and officer claims, dealing with both defence and coverage work for a range of insurers. Danielle has undertaken a secondment as a Claims Handler at AIG in Manchester.
She maintains a broad practice dealing with complex, high-value claims against a variety of professionals, with a particular focus on solicitors and accountants/finance professionals. Danielle recently acted on a multi-million claim involving shareholders, accountants and solicitors arising out of the demerger of a company.
Danielle also acts for directors and officers in defence of claims. She has dealt with claims relating to insolvency, Director Disqualification proceedings, waste re-cycling, environmental pollution and investors.
Danielle is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL).
