Shayma joined the legal profession in 2020 in Western Australia in insurance and commercial litigation before transitioning into government insurance, personal injury and intentional tort practice.

Shayma then joined Kennedys’ Sydney office as an Associate in 2023 handling insurance, personal injury, casualty, professional indemnity, property damage, product liability, indemnity and subrogation on behalf of both domestic and international insurers in transportation claims (predominantly aviation and trucking).

Shayma provides in-depth legal advice to both domestic and international insurers with respect to prospects of success in both litigated and non-litigated matters, advice on coverage and defence prospects. Occasionally, Shayma is also involved in advising domestic and international clients as to prospects of success and commencement of legal proceedings against the relevant entities.

Shayma regularly advocates for her clients by appearing at the NSW Civil Administrative Tribunal, Local, District and Supreme Court of NSW.
