Mike has particular experience in the resolution of coverage claims for long-tail liabilities including environmental clean-ups, asbestos and mass tort liability and has litigated issues including trigger of coverage for long-tail environmental claims and claims involving allegations of sexual abuse, allocation of coverage among multiple triggered insurers, enforceability and application of policy exclusions for asbestos and pollution-related liabilities, applicability of aggregate limits of liability, insurance regulatory matters, and allegations of bad faith. He also advises insurance companies on other first- and third-party claims, including business interruption claims related to the ongoing coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic and claims involving insurance coverage for sexual molestation claims.
