Nancy is special counsel in the New York office. She has almost 30 years of experience litigating, mediating and arbitrating complex commercial insurance coverage disputes and liability defense matters such as Labor Law, professional, employer, product, medical malpractice, premises and cyber liability. Her primary focus at Kennedys is first-party property and commercial losses across numerous industries following hurricanes and other natural catastrophes.

Nancy specializes in writing coverage opinions, substantive pre- and post-trial motions, briefs, bench memoranda and appeals and has received many favorable decisions, including on matters of first impression. She also has an aptitude for preparing compelling and impactful Power Point Presentations for mediation and arbitration hearings.

Nancy also specializes in preparing "appeal-worthiness" evaluations for clients by engaging in a critical review of an adverse Order/Decision, and its accompanying Record/Trial Transcript in order to identify appealable issues, determine the probability of success, and then make a well-considered recommendation to clients concerning whether an appeal is warranted in light of the costs involved.

Nancy enjoys collaborating with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies and tactics to employ in litigation from inception to trial, as well as on appeal.

In every area of her practice, Nancy, a natural competitor, enjoys and takes tremendous pride in her work, in out-witting her opponents, and in achieving the best possible results for the firm's clients.
