Javier is a Senior Associate in Kennedys’ Madrid office, qualified in Spain in 2004 and joined Kennedys in 2005. He is fluent in English and French.
He specialises in property, energy and construction claims, handles matters protecting insurers’ interests, including contractors' all risks (CAR), erection all risks (EAR), all risks, latent defects, surety bonds, products and civil liability, both domestically and internationally. He has extensive background in dispute resolution, contractual and tort liability, and Professional Indemnity.
Javier has managed an extensive portfolio of latent defects risks written in Spain for the London Market and acts on matters in Spain, Europe and Latam.
Javier regularly contributes towards Kennedys’ publications and seminars, and delivers training to foreign underwriters and claims managers. He is also a member of the Civil Liability & Insurance Section of the Madrid Bar Association, and of the Spanish Young Insurance Professionals Group.
