Nuno is a partner in our Lisbon office who specialises in corporate and commercial work. He graduated with a law degree in Portugal in 1991, a Master of Science (MSc) in management in 2013 and a doctoral programme in law in 2014. He also attended academic activities at Berkley (Haas) and Harvard Law School. Nuno also completed Harvard's Programme on Negotiation in 2011.

With over 25 years of experience, Nuno’s range of work covers commercial and corporate, employment, construction, real estate, and life sciences. All these areas are both contentious and non-contentious.

Nuno is an arbitrator in public arbitration tax centre for disputes between Portuguese authorities and private companies (VAT, property and income tax).

He is vice chairman of the general meeting of the Lisbon’s Owners Association.

  • Nuno is known for his comprehensive views about corporate operations, with the knowledge to structure complex processes, where it is mandatory to connect the demands of several branches of law.

  • Nuno is as well known by his attempt to achieve large consensus between the stakeholders in corporate activities.

  • Nuno was responsible for advising major creditors and bankruptcy trustees in large insolvency construction sector claims.
  • Nuno is the team leader of lawyers responsible for disputes to claim compensations for contractual non-compliance in public construction contracts.
  • Nuno leads the recovery of several major companies. Recently he concluded the reorganization of a Health Care group.
