Fiona Moriarty

Fiona is a Senior Associate in the Insurance team in Kennedys Dublin. She has worked exclusively in insurance since qualifying. Fiona joins Kennedys Dublin from the insurance department of a tier 1 London City firm.

Fiona has a very broad range of insurance experience having worked for most of the leading domestic insurers and many leading Lloyds Syndicates and UK insurers. In this regard, Fiona has worked on a  number of complex coverage claims including reinsurance and excess layer coverage disputes.

Fiona has a significant amount of D&O coverage and defence experience of both international and Irish claims. In this regard, Fiona has advised the insurers of a large financial institution regarding the indemnification of directors in their capacity as directors of subsidiary funds. She also has significant experience of claims brought before the Financial Services Ombudsman regarding miss-selling claims as well as coverage disputes.

In addition to the above, Fiona has a very broad range of professional indemnity experience having supervised a team of professional claims handlers seeking to resolve claims at a pre-litigation stage and dealing with high value litigated claims. 

Fiona regularly speaks on insurance and professional negligence related issues at conferences and at client specific events. Fiona is also co-founder of the Irish Womens Insurance Network which holds quarterly insurance events.
