Sean joined Kennedys as an Associate in 2020 and is based in the Chicago office. Sean has significant experience handling general liability and product liability matters in various state courts. His litigation experience includes defending clients in matters involving premises liability, toxic exposure, design, and manufacturing defect, and failure to warn claims. His work includes representing Fortune 500 companies in all forms of litigation as well as serving as National Coordinating Counsel for serval large manufacturing companies.

Sean has been heavily involved with pro bono matters throughout his legal career. Sean served as a Guardian Ad Litem through the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services on a guardianship case involving two minors. Sean has also served as counsel for the residents of The Well of Mercy, a women’s shelter based in Chicago where he also serves on the Junior Board. His work for the Well of Mercy included representing a battered woman in an Order of Protection hearing, a child custody matter and an adoption case. Additionally, Sean represented a convicted murderer in his resentencing hearing after his initial sentence was found unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court.

Sean is the Co-Founder and Board Member of the Mickey’s Children’s Foundation. This foundation raises money to help support underprivileged families by giving them access to better early educational opportunities.
