Daniel is an experienced insurance coverage and litigation Partner in the Austin office. He provides legal analysis and advice to insurers and reinsurers on questions of coverage, first- and third-party claims, and coverage litigation. His litigation experience encompasses all aspects of coverage defense, from pre-suit investigation to final resolution through settlement, mediation, arbitration, and trial. Daniel specializes in the structure and nuances of CGL policies, E&O policies, D&O policies, excess and umbrella coverage, and first-party property insurance, In addition, Daniel represents commercial clients with respect to complex business transactions, contract disputes, products liability suits, professional liability claims, and other commercial litigation.
Daniel earned his Bachelors Degree in History from the University of Texas in Austin, and he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pepperdine School of Law. He also received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the premier Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
Daniel is a member of the Insurance Law section of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas and Illinois and the federal district courts for the Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts of Texas. Other professional affiliations include the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society, the Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Austin Bar Association, and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
