Adam is a Senior Associate in Kennedys’ Auckland office with 10 years of law and insurance experience in New Zealand and Australia. Adam completed his undergraduate degrees at the University of Otago, with further postgraduate study at the University of Auckland. He then completed a master of laws (LLM) degree with the University of Melbourne in 2018. Adam was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2010.
Adam has a broad range of insurance industry experience in Australia and New Zealand having worked as an external legal advisor, in-house counsel at an insurer and within a global brokerage as a senior claims advisor. Adam’s litigation experience covers appearances from the District Courts to the Court of Appeal. He is experienced in alternative dispute resolution and mediation, helping clients navigate these processes to try and avoid prolonged disputes.
Adam focuses on providing pragmatic advice to insurers and their customers on a wide range of issues, including professional indemnity, statutory liability, product liability, general liability, industrial special risks, health insurance claims, major losses, fraud investigations and analysis, and material damage. Adam is also a member of the New Zealand Insurance Law Association.
