Kennedys in Australia supports indigenous inclusion as an employment partner with CareerTrackers
Kennedys is pleased to announce its involvement as an employment partner with CareerTrackers, a national not for profit organisation that creates employment opportunities and support systems for young indigenous adults “to attend and graduate from university, with high marks, industry experience and bright professional futures”.
Under the CareerTrackers program Kennedys will provide a series of internships to indigenous students who are interested in pursuing a career in law. We were delighted to welcome our first intern in Sydney last year who has joined our paralegal team, and will take part in our junior lawyers career development program, supported by a partner mentor and peer group buddy.
Managing Partner Matt Andrews said, “We are very pleased to work with CareerTrackers and our interns to support indigenous students on their pathway to successful, full-time professional careers.”
More information: Since it was founded in 2009, CareerTrackers’ internship program has seen 89% of students graduating from university and 95% of alumni working full-time within 3 months of graduating. www.careertrackers.org.au
