Kennedys' UK based healthcare team are delighted to be holding the fifth webinar of our annual 2021 programme.
Guest speaker - Dr Janet Rennie, Consultant Neonatologist at University College London Hospitals
Dr Janet Rennie is a Consultant Neonatologist with a special interest in brain injury in babies. She was a lecturer in Paediatrics at the University of Cambridge from 1985-1987, and held a consultant appointment in Cambridge until 1995, following which she was a consultant in neonatal medicine at King's College London Hospital from 1995-2004.
Janet worked at University College London Hospital as a consultant until December 2018, with a commitment to the fetal medicine neurology service and the neonatal unit. She is now an honorary consultant involved in teaching and research.
Janet has advised CESDI, NICE and RCOG-led advisory groups on safer childbirth and standards for maternity care. She was the chair of the NICE jaundice guideline development group and recently worked with the NHS on the Attain project aimed at keeping mother and baby together and was the chair of the NICE neonatal respiratory guideline development group.
Dr Rennie has over thirty years' experience of medico-legal work and has appeared in Court on over forty occasions, she also advises solicitors acting for claimants and defendants in the UK and abroad.
