Anita is a Partner and Head of Aviation in the Singapore office of Kennedys. She has over 20 years’ experience in advising a wide range of clients in the aviation industry, including insurers, airlines, regulators, general aviation operators, ground handlers and maintenance organisations.
Anita qualified in England and Wales and was involved in one of the highest value personal injury actions arising out of an aviation accident in the UK. She has extensive experience in English litigation and various legal systems worldwide, including highly complex disputes in the US and Europe with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region. Anita is engaged as Lead Counsel for aviation catastrophic losses in Asia and has considerable dispute resolution expertise in single and cross-border litigation.
Anita is particularly active in the general aviation arena acting as Lead Counsel for high profile aircraft losses in a number of key jurisdictions, including South Korea, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia and also handles complex and high value hull subrogation claims.
Anita is widely recognised as a leading practitioner in the aviation insurance market, both across the Asia Pacific region and in London. She also advises airlines, airport authorities and insurers on non-contentious issues including contractual liability, risk management and regulatory matters and conducts regular training seminars.
Anita’s clients include Singapore Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, China Airlines and Bangkok Airways and a number of general aviation operators in the region.
Anita is recognised as a leading practitioner in her field in Who’s Who Legal, the Guide to the World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers and co-authored the chapter on Singapore Aviation law in the third edition of the Aviation Law Review. She is a regular speaker at Aviation conferences around the world.
