Kennedys hires international products law specialist to London office
Kennedys has appointed partner Sarah-Jane Dobson to its growing international products law practice. Sarah-Jane, who joins from Cooley LLP and will be based in Kennedy’s London office, specialises in litigation and regulatory matters relating to product safety, product compliance and product liability.

Employers’ responsibilities following the Self-Isolation Regulations
The Self-Isolation Regulations were implemented on 28 September 2020. They impose a mandatory ‘self-isolation’ period for those who test positive for COVID-19 and those who have had “close contact” with someone who tests positive for COVID-19. This period of self-isolation means that people should not leave their home or “other suitable place” for a set period of up to 14 days.

FCA sets out supervisory focus for Lloyd’s & London Market
A 2019 FCA study on the wholesale insurance broker market was prematurely concluded due to no findings of significant harm. On 3 November 2020, the FCA published a “Dear CEO” letter, which sets out the FCA’s supervision strategy for Lloyd’s & London Market Intermediaries and Managing General Agents. This article summarises those strategies and considers how to minimise risk.
