Kennedys has appointed partner Andrew McGahey as regional managing partner for EMEA following a global structure review. Andrew, who is the managing partner of our Dublin office, joined Kennedys in 2018 as part of a broader team hire from US firm Mayer Brown in London.

Kennedys has continued its growth in the Middle East with the opening of a new office in Muscat, in the Sultanate of Oman. This office opening is in response to client demand for a presence in Oman, and sees Kennedys become the only international insurance-focused law firm in the country.

Kennedys has today announced the latest phase of its expansion with the launch of a new office in Perth, Australia. It is the firm’s 43rd office and second new office opening so far this year.
Kennedys has boosted its newly relocated office in Manchester with the hire of regulatory partner, Nathan Buckley, from Clyde & Co. Nathan specialises in regulatory defence work, particularly corporate manslaughter/gross negligence manslaughter, health and safety, environment and motor crime investigations and prosecutions, together with inquests across all industries.
Kennedys has relocated its Manchester team to new premises in the city following further expansion in the team. Kennedys opened in Manchester in October 2008 with a team of 12 and in October 2016 the team moved to larger premises in The Tootal buildings.
Kennedys has boosted its new office in Leeds with the hire of industrial disease partners Darren Goldthorpe and Gary Brankin. Both join from BC Legal, bringing with them Harjinder Gill, senior associate, Liam Bedford, senior associate and Rachel Durant, litigation executive.
