Q&A

What do you enjoy about working for a global law firm?

The opportunity to develop a far-reaching network of peers and friends that I can collaborate and share knowledge with, participating in global firm initiatives and having access to robust IT infrastructure supported by resources around the world.

What type of cases do you work on?

My practice ranges from defending private hospitals, aged care facilities and health professionals in litigated and unlitigated medical malpractice and professional negligence claims. I advise and assist clients navigating the professional complaint and/or inquest process. I also represent multinational pharmaceutical brands with regards to product liability and consumer law claims.

What is most interesting about your job?

The variety of cases I work on and the challenges that come with it definitely keeps me on my toes. No two cases are the same and whether it’s the factual circumstances, legal questions and people involved, it’s always an intriguing and interesting journey from beginning to end.

What do you find most challenging about your job?

Like most professions, managing the “unexpected” and “urgent”. Over time, I’ve learnt that finding a balance between priorities is part of the job and keeping cool, calm and collected when things are not going to plan, is the key to staying on top of this challenging, yet exciting and fulfilling career.
