Our specialist commercial construction team is focused on providing legal solutions to the entire construction sector.
We advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters involving UK and international construction, engineering and procurement. Our clients include private and public sector employers, developers, contractors, consultants, funders and the surety market.
The team advises on developing procurement strategies and the analysis and allocation of construction risk. We review, draft, amend and negotiate all forms of construction documentation including professional appointments, collateral warranties, bespoke and standard form building contracts and sub-contracts, bonds, and guarantees.
Throughout construction and engineering projects, we provide inter-contractual and contract administration advice to help provide value to our clients and address any issues between parties at an early stage. We adopt a commercial and legal approach to prevent disputes from escalating. However, when they do, we have the capacity and expertise to resolve large and complex disputes through adjudication, mediation, negotiation, arbitration, and litigation.
We work closely with other Kennedys teams, particularly our Real Estate team, to provide our clients with an all-round service. We also collaborate with our Corporate, Banking, Aviation and Health and Safety teams on transactions across all sectors of the property industry.
