Kennedys partner Adam Kenny and associate Eric Gonzalez obtained a unanimous defense verdict in the Superior Court of New Jersey

Kennedys partner, Adam Kenny, and associate, Eric Gonzalez, recently obtained a unanimous defense verdict in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County.

After a six-day trial, the jury unanimously (8-0) returned a verdict in favor of the defense with a no cause ruling. The plaintiff claimed to have suffered bilateral tinnitus, bilateral hearing loss, a mild traumatic brain injury, multiple herniated discs that required double level fusion surgery in the cervical spine, and various other injuries due to a motor vehicle accident. Liability for the accident was conceded, allowing the trial to be focused solely on the issue of damages. Adam and Eric successfully argued that the plaintiff did not sustain a permanent injury caused by the accident and did not meet the lawsuit threshold limitations under New Jersey law.
