Kennedys partner Judy Selby wins cyber risk lawyer of the year

On June 20, 2023, Kennedys partner Judy Selby was named the 2023 “Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year – Attorney” at the Zywave (formerly Advisen) 2023 Cyber Risk Awards gala at Gotham Hall in New York City.

Formerly known under the Advisen name, Zywave’s Cyber Risk Awards are determined by people’s choice and recognize insurance professionals and the top performers in cyber risk. Thousands of cyber industry professionals cast their votes, and the winners were announced at last night’s black-tie gala with 470 attendees. These prestigious awards demonstrate the entire community's gratitude to key players in the cyber risk sector who – through dedication, foresight, and leadership – have enhanced and developed the treatment of cyber risk through the past year.

Judy's practice concentrates on coverage for exposures arising out of emerging technology, digital, and compliance risks. She serves as coverage and monitoring counsel for cyber insurers and also counsels insurers on cyber insurance product development, policy wordings, and silent cyber issues.
