Profile

Shi Hui is an Associate based in Kennedys' Singapore office. His areas of practice include commercial dispute resolution with a focus on company and shareholder disputes, construction, employment, data privacy, insurance and reinsurance matters.

Prior to training and qualifying at Kennedys Legal Solutions, Shi Hui gained experience in investments at a South-East Asian-focused Venture Capital firm, regulatory compliance at a nature based fund, and data privacy at an international consulting firm. He has also held research and teaching assistant positions at National University of Singapore for Banking Law, Competition Law, Company Law and Equity and Trusts, and a teaching assistant position at Thammasat University for Contract and Company Law.

  • Advising an insurer on issues relating to an arbitration brought pursuant to a claim under a policy. Issues included the interpretation of the insurance policies and whether an excluded medical condition caused the Insured’s demise.

  • Advising a SGX Mainboard-listed company on various litigation-related issues including defending claims for mismanagement.
  • Advising clients on various employment law issues concerning former employees.
  • Advising contractors in a claim for breach of warranty and tortious duties against the developer and the management corporation.
