Profile

Simon is a senior associate, law costs draftsperson and a fully qualified Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, having qualified in 2009.

He possesses substantial experience in various areas of law and practiced as a claimant legal executive for numerous years, dealing predominantly with high value industrial disease cases. Simon currently deals with a variety of non-recovery cost cases, ranging from low value road traffic collisions, to high value non-professional indemnity cases, although with a special interest in disease cases. Simon is also a CEDR certified mediator.

Simon regularly prepares Precedent H budgets, Precedent R Budget Discussion Reports, in addition to attending Case and Costs Management Hearings. In light of Simon’s previous experience dealing with substantive actions, Simon is well equipped to attend hearings on the issue of both directions and costs management, which often removes the requirement for both a costs representative and Solicitor/Counsel to attend, therefore saving costs in the process.
