Sara Smith is an associate in the New York office. She is a member of the general liability and construction practices. Sara’s practice consists of commercial, construction, and insurance coverage litigation as well as general tort litigation including premises liability, labor law, and property damage matters. She represents real estate owners, food and beverage clients, general contractors, construction managers, owners, municipal entities, and subcontractor entities.

Prior to joining Kennedys, Sara worked as a construction litigation attorney at a New York City firm. Additionally, she spent several years in the general liability group at another large New York City based law firm.

While in law school, Sara was an Articles Editor of the Journal of Law and Policy. She also served as a clinical intern at the Brooklyn Law School Incubator & Policy Clinic. During her first summer as a law student, she worked as a legal intern at an insurance defense firm.
