Alfonso Loera is a senior associate in Mexico City, focused in litigation with extensive experience in re/insurance and subrogation matters. A native of Mexico, he earned his law degree from Universidad Panamericana in 2005.

Alfonso has more than 22 years of experience in commercial law (re/insurance), civil law (civil liability) and constitutional law and subrogation.

Alfonso has represented re/insurance companies, Lloyd's Syndicates and re/insurance brokers in numerous contentious claims before Mexican courts; handling complex claims, subrogation and accounts of various periods. He provides strategic advice to the re/insurer market to defend their interests in Mexico, Alfonso has extensive experience in designing and implementing preventive and extrajudicial strategies to prepare claims in judicial processes and is well versed in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. His experience covers claims related to damages, civil liability, professional liability (E&O), liability of directors and officers (D&O), liability of public officials (P&O), patrimonial liability of the state, defective products, product recalls, environmental liability; and he has also actively participated in subrogation and recovery procedures.
