Mark is a Partner in Kennedys’ Melbourne office with over 30 years’ experience advising Australian and London market clients on professional indemnity and general insurance defence matters. He acts for a wide range of professionals groups, including construction, owner corporation managers, financial planning, accounting, legal, healthcare, real estate, travel, information technology and insurance intermediaries.

Mark also has a building and construction practice with experience in disputes concerning a large number of infrastructure projects in Victoria and South Australia. His focus includes negotiating and drafting building contracts and advising on risk management, legislation, alternative dispute resolution and insurance. Mark has strong experience in all jurisdictions, including arbitrations. 

For over two decades Mark has been a contributor to the insurance and home building chapters of the Fitzroy Legal Service Handbook, an annual plain English guide to the law in Victoria. He also plays an active role in the education and mentoring of junior lawyers, and hosts regular training sessions and lectures on insurance topics including for clients.
