Clara, legal director in the Kennedys Spain office, specialises in Data, Privacy and incident response strategy and management.

She regularly advises insurers on cyber risks and data protection matters, handling local and international cyber incidents both from a breach response perspective and coverage advice. Clara regularly speaks at local and international seminars and trainings on cyber risks and related matters regarding industry trends, regulatory changes and emerging technologies to keep their clients updated and compliant with evolving data protection laws.

Clara has played a significant role in helping organizations navigate legal complexities related to data privacy and cybersecurity. She has assisted individuals and organisations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, data privacy laws and regulations in the event of complex cyber cases such Ransomware attacks and Business Email Compromise (BEC) incidents. She has acted as data privacy advisor, providing representation in the event of privacy disputes including dispute stemming from invasions of privacy, data breaches, contracts, consumer fraud, or mishandling of sensitive information.

Clara also specialises in regulatory insurance, advising local and foreign insurers and intermediaries in contentious and non-contentious matters such as the adaption of policies and agreements to Spanish Law, distribution of insurance products and regulatory proceedings and claims before the DGSFP. She also has participated in the setup of Spanish entities and branches of European insurance entities and intermediaries.

Before joining Kennedys she worked at Clyde & Co and she also did an International Law Master Programme at Instituto Superior de Derecho y Empresa (ISDE).
