Suzanne is the global Managing Partner at Kennedys, and a member of the Global Strategy Board. Suzanne works closely with the Senior Partner on the strategic and operational management of Kennedys’ global network of offices.

She has recently led our Crisis Management Team on behalf of our Global Strategy Board, helping to support our people, our business and our clients to deal with the impact of Covid 19 across 22 countries during these challenging times. During this period Kennedys has launched a new office, relocated a city office and protected it’s people from any risk of furlough, pay cuts or redundancy.

Suzanne is also a member of Kennedys IQ’s Governance Group, the firm’s new technology driven company that provides a data driven platform, and insights, to help insurers and corporates manage their claims in less time, at a lower cost and with better outcomes.

Qualifying in England and Wales in 1993, Suzanne became a partner in 1997 and joined Kennedys in 2010 establishing Kennedys Sheffield office before being appointed as Managing Partner in 2019. She has extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and during her career as a practising lawyer, she built a practice that saw her working with insurers, self-insured corporates and local authorities, and specialising in employers’, public and motor liability claims, as well as health and safety advice and prosecutions.

Suzanne helps manage a number of major client relationships and she regularly consults with clients to solve their business challenges and scope innovative new ways of working. She is passionate about client service, diversity and inclusion, and the future of the legal industry.

As an active ambassador for the legal and insurance industries, Suzanne leads Kennedys’ Women in Business Network. She was instrumental in setting up our global strategic partnership with ISC (Insurance Supper Club) to provide pro bono strategic support. As well as providing global legal support to the ISC and its members, Kennedys works in partnership with them to help them develop their future strategy.

She is also an active member of Link, the professional network for members of the LGBT+ community and their allies who work in the insurance sector. She leads Kennedys’ global sponsorship of Dive In, the Festival for Diversity & Inclusion in Insurance run by Lloyd’s of London, and is a regular keynote speaker at events in the UK and also overseas.

Suzanne recently established a Global D&I Advisory Group and five Regional D&I Advisory Groups to represent their network and help to shape and progress our D&I agenda.

Between 2011 and 2012, Suzanne stood as President of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, becoming the first female president in its 242-year history. She was also named Sheffield Business Woman of the Year.

In 2020, Suzanne was named in The Lawyer's Hot 100 list for 2020 - a prestigious annual list which gathers together the profession’s brightest stars.
