Work highlights

  • Stacey recently secured a withdrawal of a claim pre-litigation in which the claimant reported to have suffered a head injury and serious orthopaedic injuries.
  • She has recently assisted on a claim for the Danish Guarantee Fund in a brain injury claim which settled for £26m following a road traffic accident when the claimant was 4 years of age.
  • Stacey is currently acting for the defendant in a claim involving 2 children who suffered serious injury, including a serious brain injury, following a road traffic accident whilst the children were riding an E-Scooter.
  • Stacey recently settled a claim pleaded in excess of £850,000 for less than £50,000 following a significant and lengthy investigation which highlighted various inconsistencies when contrasted to the Claimant’s presentation during medical and DWP assessments. As an example he said he could 200m on his best day but during surveillance periods he was observed walking for periods in excess of 50 minutes without a break. As part of the settlement she is currently dealing with a CRU appeal seeking recovery of the insurer clients liability in excess of £70,000
