James is a Senior Associate in the Insurance team in Brisbane. James acts in a coverage and defence capacity for international and national insurers, underwriters, Lloyd’s syndicates, and reinsurers in areas of financial lines, trade credit and political risk, professional indemnity and first and third party property damage. His experience includes defending litigated and non-litigated large-scale construction and professional service disputes.
Prior to joining Kennedys, James worked in the Professional and Financial Risks team at large specialist insurance law firm in the United Kingdom defending a range of professional negligence claims. More recently, James has developed experience in coverage matters involving the application of trade credit insurance to commodities trade debts.
James acts for international and national insurers, underwriters experience in complex litigation, having regularly acted as defence counsel in matters concerning construction, engineering, financial, legal and other professionals. He has also experience acting as defence counsel in disciplinary proceedings brought by regulatory bodies.
