Ben is a legal director within Kennedys’ Cyber Risk and Privacy Team.  He qualified as a solicitor in 2014.

Ben is a specialist in data protection law and advises a range of clients on all matters relating to data privacy and cyber security. As privacy laws increasingly affect a client’s business in multiple jurisdictions, Ben advises on both local and cross-border impacts of privacy laws as well as supporting clients with data breach incident response and remediation. Ben has experience of working in both the public and the private sector, having previously been a Data Protection Officer for a large NHS organisation in the UK, as well as privacy counsel for a global law firm. As well as data protection Ben has also regularly advised on freedom of information requests for public authorities.

Ben has particular expertise in healthcare-related settings, and regularly speaks at conferences on digital health and impacts of AI on healthcare data.
