Eric M Gonzalez joined the Basking Ridge office as an associate in 2021. His practice focuses primarily on insurance defense work. After graduating law school, Eric clerked for the Honorable Patricia Del Bueno Cleary, presiding Judge of the Chancery Division in Monmouth County. As a law clerk, Eric was responsible for conducting legal research, as well as drafting legal memoranda in areas specific to general equity, including trusts and estates and foreclosure litigation.
Prior to Joining Kennedys, Eric was an associate at an insurance defense firm in New Jersey, where he represented both domestic and international clients, practicing at both the trial and appellate levels in the areas of general liability, products liability, premises liability, and automotive liability. Eric has also represented boards of education throughout New Jersey in all major areas of education law, including the management of schools, public school contact law, as well as construction, employment, labor negotiations, and students’ rights and responsibilities.
Eric is a member of the New Jersey Defense Association.
