Nick is a partner in Kennedys’ Bermuda office. His practice encompasses insurance and reinsurance, corporate, insolvency and restructuring and banking and finance matters. He is admitted as a Barrister and Attorney of the Supreme Court of Bermuda and is admitted and enrolled as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
Nick advises insurers and investors and participants in the insurance industry on a wide range of regulatory and corporate matters, including the licensing of entities registered under the Insurance Act 1978, acquisition and disposal of shares, mergers and amalgamations, public and private offerings of securities. He advises clients from all industry sectors on restructuring and insolvency matters, and is well-known for his skill and experience in designing and drafting insurance and reinsurance structures to meet the needs of complex and unusual circumstances.
He is a committee member of the Restructuring and Insolvency Specialists Association of Bermuda (RISA) and the Chair of the Legal & Regulatory Committee of the Bermuda International Long-Term Insurers and Reinsurers Association (BILTIR). He has been intimately involved in a number of law reform initiatives in Bermuda, ranging from insolvency to insurance law.
