Kennedys continues support of diversity and inclusion as global sponsor of Dive In Festival 2019
We are very pleased to once again be a global gold-level sponsor of Dive in, the international festival for diversity and inclusion in insurance.
Now in its fifth year, the festival, an initiative of Inclusion@Lloyd’s, will take place in more than 60 cities around the world from 24 to 26 September, featuring inspiring speakers alongside Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) experts.
Dive In aims to engage and educate people within the Lloyd’s market on the importance of diversity and inclusion in insurance by providing them with understanding, knowledge and the tools to implement positive change. Representing every corner of the industry from the smallest brokers to the largest multi-national companies, the festival helps promote a different view of insurance to a variety of stakeholders and to prospective employees both within and outside the industry.
...underpinning our values is our involvement in events that celebrate diversity and inclusion within the sectors in which we operate.
This year’s festival builds on 2018’s start of the two-year campaign, Awareness into Action, and will focus on translating action into measurable impact with an annual theme of Inclusion Impact.
Dominic Christian, Chair of Inclusion@Lloyd’s and Global Chairman of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business, says: “The focus on curating a global festival that seeks to encourage insurance professionals to move from awareness of the business case for diversity and inclusion to creating positive action is something to be truly proud of, and while we have seen significant progress, I am delighted to know that this forward momentum will be carried into Dive In 2019.”
Nick Thomas, Senior Partner at Kennedys, says: “We are proud to be a sponsor of the Dive In Festival again this year. Last year’s festival was celebrated across many major cities in which we have a presence and it is very pleasing to see that this year will be including even more cities and jurisdictions. We are very conscious that as a diverse and global firm we need to ensure that everyone, whoever or wherever they are in the firm, shares and embraces our values. At Kennedys we have a distinctive culture that makes us a successful firm where people enjoy coming to work and underpinning our values is our involvement in events that celebrate diversity and inclusion within the sectors in which we operate.”
Last year’s festival attracted more than 9,000 people to attend in excess of 115 events in over 50 cities in 27 countries around the world. And this year we are looking forward to seeing it grow further, becoming even more successful and impactful around the world.
