Tia Hildreth - Day in the life

Client Development Executive, Dubai

Tia is a Client Development Executive in our Dubai office.

One of the things I love about working for a global firm is that, since relocating from London to Dubai, I have managed to maintain all of my relationships and also get to meet and speak to many colleagues throughout my week.

  • Morning

I like to start my mornings early and go to the gym or for a swim before travelling in to the office. Afterwards, I sit down with my breakfast, have a coffee and check my emails and spend some time putting my to do list together for the day ahead.

  • 9:30

We have a large exhibition at the end of the month for one of the teams I work closely with so, I spend the first half of my morning preparing plans around our marketing activity and meet with our events team to discuss logistics.

  • 11:00

Mid-morning and I always have a second coffee around this point!

  • 12:30

I have a catch up with my manager who is based in the UK on our priorities for the week ahead.

  • Lunch

I meet up with a friend who works close by at a coffee shop for some lunch. Usually I will bring lunch in to the office and join my colleagues in our office kitchen if I have some spare time.

  • 15:00

One of our partners recently met with a new prospective client so I spend the next part of my afternoon working on a capability document for us to share with them which includes more detailed information on our expertise.

  • 16:00

We have recently launched our second global healthcare webinar series so I have a catch up call with our global partners to discuss content alongside business development and marketing activity for the rest of the series. One of the things I love about working for a global firm is that, since relocating from London to Dubai, I have managed to maintain all of my relationships and also get to meet and speak to many colleagues throughout my week that are located across multiple jurisdictions.

  • 17:30

The rest of my evening is spent going through and responding to the emails which have come in over the course of the afternoon from colleagues in the UK and deal with any ad-hoc tasks. I finish the day by jotting anything urgent down that I need to do tomorrow on my to-do list.
