Jamie Bloomfield - Assistant Cashiering Manager
I start my morning early and usually check my emails/phone to see if anything is urgent. Then I spend time with my son George until I start my full working day.
I deal with any queries that have arrived overnight and then look into the teams daily work-loads, to see if cover is required. If there are absences or employees on holiday I usually cover that person.
I send over any monthly statement reports to the client and client transfer documents that need signing by the Partners and start looking into the day’s receipts for our bank accounts.
All of the bank reconciliations should have been sent to the team and I make notes of any items of concern. I then start dealing with any queries from the team and wider firm, such as a payment instruction where the bank details are not clear or a fee earner enquiring about a payment that has not been received by the beneficiary.
I try to get a half hour workout in my garage converted gym depending on how busy the day is and then sit down with my wife and son for lunch.
I will continue to work on various projects and process reviews as I am always looking at ways to streamline and better our processes. I will also check in with my team to see how their days are going.
I assist the team with authorising end of day transfers. I will also prioritise any further queries and try to deal with them on the same day.
My evening consists of some play time with my son, followed by his bath and bed. I will then make dinner and usually try to be sat down on the sofa and watching TV by 8.30pm.
